What if you don't like it
Answers to what people ask before paying.
- The character doesn't look like my child
- Before payment we show three versions of the hero. If none of them look right, tell us what's off and we'll draw a new set — free of charge.
- How many revisions the price includes
- The hero can be redrawn once for free: the first generation plus one replacement. Scenes that failed to render are redrawn with a button on the book page — no extra charge and no cap on attempts.
- Can I replace the photo
- Yes, until the hero is chosen. The “Replace” button on the photo step takes a new picture; the hero attempts stay the same ones.
- When full production starts
- Full production starts only after payment. Before that we build a free preview: hero options, the cover and the first spreads — and for the cartoon, a storyboard and a short teaser.
- Is a refund possible
- A paid order can be refunded: the “Request a refund” button on the order page, within 14 days of payment. A human reviews each request.
- What is not treated as a defect
- A defect is a file that won't open, missing pages or scenes, the wrong name, gender or language, a cartoon with no narration or a scene cut short. We fix that free of charge — tell us and we'll rebuild it. Not a defect is what you saw and approved before paying. The hero resembles your child but stays a drawn character rather than a portrait, and looks slightly different from spread to spread, as in any illustrated book. The illustration style is the same across the whole catalogue, and you see it on the cover and first spreads before ordering. You choose the story yourself and read its full description. The hero is drawn from a single photograph, and its suitability decides the likeness. That is why we ask for a shot where the child looks into the camera and the whole face is visible: the requirement is stated at the upload step, and you confirm it before sending the file. If a photo is sent against that requirement — the child shot from the side, from behind, with the head turned away or the face covered — we do not guarantee the likeness. This takes nothing away from the free hero re-draw before payment or from your refund rights: before paying you see three versions of the hero and may reject all of them. All of that is free before payment: three hero options, one replacement, the cover and the first spreads with real illustrations. Payment starts production of the rest — from that minute the work is being done and its cost has been incurred.
